Shorah!
We regret to announce that there will be no EuroMysterium this year.
The old Guild of Organisers, responsible for EuroMysterium 2005, would like to pass the torch on, while currently maintaining the site and forums and offering help for future organisers. As far as EuroMysterium is concerned: anyone interested in getting EuroMysterium 2007 rolling is more than welcome to help. Ventures started independently from this EuroMysterium site are welcome to do so, but we would like to ask you to inform us once you have things going.
While there will be no EuroMysterium 2006, there are quite a few mini-mysteria spread around Europe. One of these alternatives is the German 3rd Uru Reallife Gathering. A few days ago, the German Uru Revival Council 2006 announced that registration for the gathering has begun, so register and join us in Germany!
If you know of any other European mini-gatherings, please inform us, as well as the wider community, on the EuroMysterium forums and we will be glad to announce it as a news item on this site.Read and comment on this news article on the forums!
What is EuroMysterium?
After the immense success of Myst and Riven, several fan sites were built, including the Riven Lyst, the Riven Guild and MYSTcommunity. At some point the idea was launched to organize a real life gathering for the fans, and so Mysterium was born. With Uru Live the community has grown even more, as did the number of real life gatherings. As all Mysteriums took place in North America, the idea was formed to give all European Mys fans the opportunity to meet each other in Europe.
The very first EuroMysterium was held in 2005 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It turned out to be a great success, and therefore we'd like to turn EuroMysterium into an annual event. Check the News page regularly for updates on upcoming EuroMysterium activities!
As well as organising a European Mysterium, the EuroMysterium committee is helping to build bridges between all European Myst communities. A brand new forum has been opened to allow better communication and organisation of both EuroMysteriums as well as other pan-European mini-Mysteriums. We therefore invite everyone to advertise and discuss these European gatherings on the forums!
